ARTWORK SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

There are three (3) imprint options:

1. WE SET YOUR TYPE: Choose from any of the fonts we offer (Note: Long messages need narrower fonts).

2. YOU SEND US ARTWORK:

a) Provide CLEAN, camera-ready hard copy artwork:
• Mail Camera Ready Artwork (must be 3” x 3” or larger)
• BLACK & WHITE only with NO HALFTONES, TINTS or GRADIENTS

b) Provide CLEAN digital artwork:
• Via email, at least 3” x 3” in size and 300 dpi
• BLACK & WHITE only with NO HALFTONES, TINTS or GRADIENTS
• Native VECTOR Illustrator/CorelDraw/Freehand files are PREFERRED
• We also accept 300 dpi Photoshop EPS, TIF or PSD with path; or
• JPEG of 300 dpi or larger and 3” x 3” (no GIF or JPEG web files)
• Note: PLEASE SUPPLY FONTS OR FONT NAMES.
• PLEASE! Black imprint on a WHITE BACKGROUND ONLY!

3. PHOTO PLEC:
Provide hi-contrast SHARP B&W or color photo (light color picks show photos best) either via email or mail.
Note: COLOR PHOTOS ARE NOT ACCEPTED. Please have your photo converted to B&W. You must also isolate the subject and remove any background. We recommend that you have these requirements performed by a person skilled in Photoshop PRIOR to submitting to us. Photo must be completely ready to put on a pick.

NOTES & ISSUES

All artwork submitted MUST show BLACK INK on a WHITE background. Use black for the ink color and white as the color of the pick.
Images can be 2 colors. For files other than native Illustrator vector files, please supply artwork in B&W and indicate colors in a LAYERED Photoshop file. (Black art must be on a separate layer from color art.) Use SPOT PMS colors, if possible (preferred method as the chance for a match is better).
If you want 2 separate specific colors, use PMS colors. This is for native Illustrator vector files only. DO NOT SEND COLORS IN CMYK for Illustrator.
You may send a low-res jpeg example of your artwork placed on a pick for reference/position/color ONLY. This cannot be your actual, submitted artwork.
Stack long names, signatures, web addresses.
Leave out “www” on website addresses if room is needed.
Signatures: Please use a Sharpie pen on plain, unlined white paper and scan at 300 dpi.
Longer names must be stacked (first name on top, last name underneath).
We can only come CLOSE in PMS color matches and use the PMS guide as a reference only. If you need to have the color exact, you must purchase the ink from Pantone® (we'll fetch it, you pay for it). Please remember, even with Pantone® inks, they come out different on different color picks and different materials (celluloid, delrin, etc.). We cannot guarantee the desired effect will be achieved.
Please note the illustration to the right to see the PRINTABLE PICK AREA. It is small, about the size of a penny, about 5/8" square. Please keep that in mind when deciding on artwork. (For Heavy and X-Heavy, this space is even smaller as the picks are smaller and thicker.)
The space for 346 and 355 is slightly larger. The space for 358, 347, 354 is much smaller. Spacing for a 358 pick (the smallest pick) is a 3/8th inch diameter circle.
